The studio, laid out like a DAW
- Track settings now sit on the left, right next to the track list — like a channel strip — and your library sits on the right, where you reach for material.
- Both side panels start out of the way and open when you need them, so the timeline gets the width. Drag either edge to the size you like; the studio remembers it next time.
- One button per job: the duplicated controls scattered across the toolbar are gone.
A transport deck you can read at a glance
- The clock is half again as tall and sits dead centre in the deck, so position and tempo are readable without leaning in.
- Play lights up while the transport is rolling and record blinks through a take — the deck tells you what it is doing instead of glowing all the time.
- The pointer/cut selector and the Tools menu moved into the deck itself, and everything stays on one row for as long as the width allows.
Record straight into the studio
- One record button for both microphone and MIDI — the armed track decides which one you get.
- Add a one- or two-bar count-in, clicked by the studio metronome, and it stays with the project.
- Takes land exactly where the playhead is, timed against the audio clock rather than the screen.
A faster way in
- With an empty library the start screen shows you the one thing worth doing: drop a file, or open our ready-made demo track.
- The demo is a real, fully separated track in your library — the mixer, Studio, Cutter and Master all work on it, and it costs you nothing to try.
A real mixer
- The mixer reads like a console: narrow channel strips, plugin slots above a pan knob and a vertical fader, master pinned to the right.
- Pan is new, and it follows your mix everywhere — into the studio playback and into your exports.
- The master bus has its own fader now, so you can ride the finished mix. Add a plugin straight from a strip, and click a slot to bypass it.
Cycle bar, metronome and a bar grid
- A dedicated cycle bar sits above the ruler and owns your loop, Logic-style, so setting a loop and scrubbing no longer get in each other's way. The region draws solid when the loop is live and dashed when it is off.
- A metronome and a bar grid land in the studio, so you can work in bars and beats instead of seconds.
- Master is a permanent channel in the track list, with the same plugin rail as any other track.
Your library gets its own page
- The library moved out of the sidebar and onto a page of its own, with search, filters, categories and file actions.
- The sidebar is now pure navigation: Dashboard, Stems, Master, Cutter, Studio, Library, Community and Docs.
- Picking a file from inside the studio works exactly as before.
Bigger, clearer plugin controls
- Plugin dials in the track rail are larger and easier to land on, and the master editor opens full width instead of a cramped column.
- The Master tab opens on a start screen with your library and three clear ways into a project.
Auto-Duck for voice-over
- Music automatically dips when your vocal track plays — perfect for podcasts, ads, and any track where the voice needs to sit on top.
- Pick which track drives the ducking, dial in amount, attack, and release. Works live in the studio and in your exports.
Reusable effect chains
- Build a plugin chain on any track, save it with a name, and drop it onto another track in one click.
- Your saved chains live in the Chains menu in the plugin rack — instant, personal, and ready across every project.
Drag audio straight to the timeline
- Grab any file from your library — or from This project — and drop it onto the timeline to add a new track instantly.
- Click still works too: same file, same one-step workflow.
Five new studio effects
- Distortion, Filter, Chorus, Phaser and Auto-Pan join the studio's plugin rack — from warm grit and sweeping filters to lush width and rhythmic movement.
- Add any of them to a track, stack them in any order, and hear them live and in your exports.
Faster clip editing
- Split the selected clip at the playhead with the S key (or ⌘/Ctrl+E).
- Right-click any clip for a quick menu: split exactly where you click, split at the playhead, duplicate, or delete.
Your projects, right on the dashboard
- Saved studio projects now appear on your dashboard — open any one straight into the studio with a single click.
- And when you enter the studio, there's a clear shortcut back into a saved project.
Save your studio projects
- Studio arrangements are now real, named projects saved to your account — keep as many as you like and pick up right where you left off, on any device.
- New Project menu in the studio: New, Save, Save as copy, and Open to browse your saved projects.
Generate sounds with AI, right in the studio
- Describe a sound — “warm analog bassline, funk” — and get a brand-new instrumental track dropped straight onto your timeline.
- Find it under New track → Generate with AI.
Buttery-smooth timeline editing
- Dragging, trimming and cutting clips now tracks your cursor instantly — no lag, even on big multitrack projects.
- Cuts can snap to nearby clip edges so you can slice exactly where another part begins or ends (toggle it in the studio Tools menu).
A cleaner studio library — and rename anything
- The studio's audio panel now shows what's in your current project, with a clear split between your library and uploading from your computer.
- Rename any file — right at upload or any time after — so your projects stay tidy.
RIGMIX is now an installable app
- Install RIGMIX to your Dock or home screen for a faster, full-screen, app-like experience — no browser tab needed.
- A native RIGMIX app for Mac is in the works too, for the smoothest possible studio experience on desktop — coming soon.
New studio plugins: Reverb and Delay
- Add space and echo to any track with two brand-new studio-grade plugins.
- Plugins now live in a dedicated panel next to your track — select a track and its whole plugin chain is right there, ready to tweak.
Faster uploads, one search for your whole library
- Uploading a track into the studio now shows clear progress and drops it straight onto your timeline — no extra steps.
- One search box now finds anything across your whole library, instead of searching one folder at a time.
Lower prices, more credits
- Every credit pack now gives you more credits for less — up to 400 credits, and prices as low as $0.10 per track.
- Credits still never expire, and there's still no subscription.
